Wilburn Medical USA
Wilburn Medical USA is a good sized Medical Equipment and Supply eCommerce website with a Business to Business (B2B) target market of Health-care Professionals although the site is also open to consumers or Business to Consumers (B2C). I re-designed the website back in 4th quarter 2015 using the BigCommerce Platform. While I did choose a base theme I had to add a lot of custom CSS to design the site to be more in-line with the company's branding. Also modifications had to be made to meet the company's shipping and business policy's/procedures by making tweaks and changes to the website's HTML and JavaScripts. Some of the websites's features that I have upgraded from the out of the box product is a more robust shipping quote system that provides customers live quotes from the company's UPS account and turns expedited shipping options that customers were asking for into a revenue generating product for the company. Also the website has a e-mail automation system that servers customers e-mails from their browsing and purchasing habits, so they receive the products that they are most interested in. There is a lead generating screen-popper or light-box that allows the customer to categorize themselves as to their specialization in the Health-care Industry for future marketing and customer service efforts. I also added a support chat system that is active on every page of the website and sends potential customers personalized messages through the website on the company's core products that we focus on.

While the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPAA) makes it more complicated to market and advertise medical equipment and supplies on-line. I have utilized the following strategies over the years to try and find the company's target market.

The Google Analytics screen capture below is from January 1 2013 - April 2019 and I started in July 2014. The data shows that I have been increasing revenue year over year since I have become the eCommerce Marketing and Advertising Manager at Wilburn Medical, however this is only the revenue that is sent through the shopping cart. Much of my marketing and advertising efforts is turned into revenue through phone calls, e-mails, and fax since we do have a customer care and sales team in place.

This snapshot from Google Analytics shows the latest past 12 months of numbers. As you can see five years of working on the marketing and advertising strategies listed above have paid off for the company. While this increase did not happen overnight I've been able to increase traffic and revenue year after year as the eCommerce Marketing and Advertising Manager at Wilburn Medical.

Revenue has almost Tripled from $598,563.56 a year to $1,506,731.93 or 151.74% Increase
Note: As a reminder this is just what business comes through the Website's Shopping Cart as we do have a Inside Sales and Customer Service Team that takes orders via e-mail, phone, and fax that is not get counted in the Google Analytics figures. My marketing and advertising efforts drives off-line business into the office every day especially larger orders that clients aren't comfortable placing online or sales quotes that have to be bided on.
